A sixty (60) day moratorium for cancellation or non-renewal of any insurance policy is in effect for any policyholder directly affected by the disaster events residing within the impacted areas, and a suspension of any penalty attached to the late payment therein. Affected counties include Brevard, Charlotte, Cirus, Clay, Collier, DeSoto, Duval, Flager, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St Johns, St Lucie, Sumter and Volusia.
The Moratorium Begin Date and the Moratorium End date are:

This moratorium is not a waiver of the premium requirement but is only an extension of the grace period in which to pay the premium. Members who live in the Florida counties affected may not have certificates terminate due to non-payment and must be provided a grace period extension during October 10 to December 10, 2024. After this date, the certificate owner will have to resume making premium payments that would’ve been due during the moratorium period.
