Open Mic Fundraiser
Woman’s Life Chapter 805 Indianapolis, Indiana, has found a unique way to support youth in their community who are facing homelessness. Chapter members recently held their second annual Open Mic Spring Spectacular Fundraiser, featuring local authors, poets, and the like reading excerpts from their works. The event was lots of fun and a huge success, raising $1,167, including Matching Funds from Woman’s Life, for Outreach Indiana, an organization that provides resources for homeless teens and young adults.
Pot of Gold Raffle
Woman’s Life Chapter 836 Port Huron, Michigan, raffled off a “Pot of Gold” filled with lotto tickets at the Port Huron Prowlers hockey game to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness Blue Water Area (NAMI). Including Matching Funds from Woman’s Life, the chapter raised $545 to help NAMI change the negative stigma of mental health issues through support groups, education, and peer-to-peer training.
Cash Raffle For A Cause
Members of Woman’s Life Chapter 800 Fort Gratiot, Michigan, sold tickets for a $500 cash raffle during Blue Water Safe Horizons’ Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show. One lucky winner took home the cash prize, but Blue Water Safe Horizons was the big winner. Including Matching Funds from Woman’s Life, Chapter 800 raised $1,400 to help end domestic violence and provide shelter for victims.
