Having Fun – Sew-A-Thon & Collection Day
Members of Woman’s Life Chapter 883 Algonac, Michigan, joined together with Piece to Peace Quilters, Algonac High School Care Bag Movement group, and other students from Algonac Schools to help children in need. Using a Volunteer Service Project Grant from Woman’s Life, sewing supplies were purchased to make Care Bags and blankets. Approximately 175 volunteers gathered for a sew-a-thon and collection day to put the bags together. The bags are filled with items to temporarily fill the needs of children who must leave home suddenly, without being able to collect basic necessities, then delivered to local agencies for distribution.
