Members of Woman’s Life Chapter 800 Fort Gratiot, Michigan, held a $1,000 Cash Raffle during Hope Blooms, the annual fundraising event for Hunter Hospitality House. Members had a blast mingling with guests and selling tickets. Including Matching Funds from Woman’s Life, the chapter raised an impressive $3,950 for Hunter Hospitality House, helping them provide free lodging steps away from the hospital for individuals comforting a loved one or receiving treatment themselves.
Members of Woman’s Life Chapter 741 Hillsdale, Michigan, held an After Party Fundraiser following a concert by the Irish band, The Founding, to benefit The Friends of the Dawn Theater. The party had a St. Patrick’s Day theme, complete with decorations and Irish music. Including Matching Funds from Woman’s Life, the chapter donated $1,160 to help restore the 1925 Wurlitzer organ in the historic Dawn Theater.
Woman’s Life Chapter 805 Indianapolis, Indiana, used a Volunteer Service Project Grant from Woman’s Life to create 35 decorative self-care/well-being journals for women survivors of domestic violence utilizing services at Coburn Place. The journals were presented as Valentine’s Day gifts to show support and encouragement while these women transition into their new and empowered lives. What a unique way to help others!
