                                                                              leave, I asked my grandson where
                                                                              his shoes were. “I gave them to a
                                                                              homeless person,” he said. “He
                                                                              didn’t have any.” We were all in
                                                                              tears. It’s such a wonderful feel-
                                                                              ing to be able to help.

                                                                                I’ve been without, and I know
                                                                              what it’s like.
